Upper Saddle River Women's Biathlon proceeds benefit breast cancer research.
The Upper Saddle River Women’s Biathlon had its inaugural race on May 8, 2010 raising over $40,000 for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF)—a record-setting amount for a first time event. Sponsored by the USR Recreation Commission, the Biathlon is designed to promote awareness and raise money for breast cancer research. It attracts women that are passionate about raising money to find a cure while taking on the challenge of staying in shape.

The USR Women’s Biathlon is the first of its kind in New Jersey. In 2010, 200 women participated in the run-bike-run course. This year, the number will be capped at 250 athletes. Proceeds will be donated again to BCRF, which has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator and provides critical funding for research worldwide.
